I've never heard anyone so happy an enthusiastic when they say "looks like the head needs to come off" lol. Your definitely a trooper.

Dang! 😳
That is so awesome that the previous owner sent you those keys!
It's gonna look amazing when you bring it back to it's former glory
and get it running. Gonna be a lot of work but, well worth it.
Thanks for all the great content and keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🏍

For dash codes: Try the last digits of the VIN number on the bikes.
Dealerships set it to the VIN so random jerks dont set a code while its on the showroom floor. A lot of times new owners dont know they can change it or they dont care.

To get the cam chain off you have to put the 3 head brackets back on over the cams ( tighten them down then loosen and remove the 2 bolts off of the cam gear ( should be 2 grey/silver bolts, hold on to them when there almost out of the hole so they don’t fall into the motor ), lift the chain off the gear and then you can take the 3 cam brackets back off and your hood to go

I don't see anyone talking about how well-built CJ is at 12:05 lol

I'm just amazed by how you take care of your bikes on your own, knowing that you have diffrent bikes, diffrent manufacturers thus making it difficult to familiarize taking each bike apart, yes, if youre a qualified mechanic thats easy, but for an enthusiast? Must require lots of attention, Support from Ph🇵🇭

Great video & great project, i have rode street/sportbikes since 1992 & i can safely say the motorcycle community are some of the best folks you will ever meet, this video is a prime example of that with sending CJ keys & the owners manual. Everybody please ride safe, keep the shiney side up, but most of all have fun and enjoy life 😎🏍🙂

Italians make them so beautiful. The bike looks stunning even when wrecked.

dont remove the head ( like others said ) the block is fine, youre wasting your time
its little corosion from sitting outside
juste put some marvel mistary oil (or ATF) in the cylinders and let sit and turn manually the engine : it will lubricate cylinders and rings and prevent corrosion
it will clear out when your gonna run it
great rebuild project

Man, It is incredible the last owner could see you! And you'll have a lot of work with this Aprilia, they are sooo special...But that's not a problem for you! I think you have same problems that here in Spain to be served by Aprilia's parts. We can wait for months...Definitely a tough project, good luck CJ! Great video!!

There should be a cam chain tensioner somewhere you need to release that before you can get the chain off, you don't really need to get the flywheel off at this stage,
My advise would be to put back the cam caps making sure timing marks are lined up put some oil in the bores, then rotate the engine quite a few times, then have another look with the scope, to see if it cleans up. If the rust is only surface, it should be OK with out taking the head off, d

Those o-rings on the spark plug channel;s are notorious for leaking on the Aprilias.

Bro, that guy saves you a lot money. I love how you make them from scratch to running machines.

I am from India. It makes no sense rebuilding the bike, judging from the damage. You're better off buying a new bike. But Respect for the time and money spent for the build. This is true, because, one cannot buy experience, that you do. A sub is not enough. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰Keep doing what you do .

Wow cool video, it's inspiring me a little bit with my 2020 aprilia rsv4 misano edition rebuild I bought from an auction so I wasn't lucky with code but it's almost done and it's cool to see someone else do it too!👍
