MESTIA & USHGULI | SVANETI GEORGIA

Показать описание
Today was the day that I made the drive from Poti, Georgia all the way up through the Caucasus Mountains in Svaneti. We first stopped in Mestia after driving through some rapidly changing weather conditions. Once a thunderstorm came through, the temperature dropped over 30 degrees in less than 30 minutes.
I thought Mestia was the most beautiful place I have ever been to, and it was… that is before I made it further up into the mountains to the Unesco World Heritage Site that was the ancient village of Ushguli. It was the most peaceful place I have ever been; this is where I want to be during the next world war haha.
The roads in Georgia and the scenery around them, especially in the mountains are equally beautiful as they are dangerous. It really was eye opening to me to see so many cows, dogs, horses, and donkeys that were just roaming around wildly and finding themselves in the middle of the road.
Stay tuned for my next video, in which we travel across the most dangerous section of road in between Ushguli and Tbilisi. This is a road that requires special permission for the Georgian government to travel on (which I did not have… oops) and is only open during the summer months. It had only opened up for the year 3 days before I attempted to drive on it.
