Looking to vacation in a beautiful, remote location? We can recommend Ushguli, in Georgia! The World Heritage Site sits some 2,200 meters above sea level in the Caucasus Mountains. Only 70 families live in the village up on the country's highest mountain – the Shkhara.
During the summer, tourists love visiting the village to see its unique tower houses – an old medieval defence method. After watching this video you're sure to have Ushguli, Georgia on your mind! ;)

Unfortunately, mass tourism is destroying many unique places on earth. New houses and hotels are being built, the influence of human activities is increasing, causing the authenticity of the place to be lost. Ushguli is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and not even a single stone should have to be moved there!
