Wombles. Supposed to be in every country. Only documented on British TV.

Someone should have told Disney when they did a live action 101 dalmations that the UK doesn't have raccoons. That's 1 thing that winds me up when ever it's on tv

In my town here in South Gloucestershire we have a hedgehog sanctuary dedicated to protecting the little creatures. Great content, guys, and until the next time, cheers. 😊👍

If you want to help Hedgehogs there is a very small but crucial thing you can do.

The decline of the hedgehog has been noted for decades and great strides were made in preservation and protection. The suddenly about 20 years ago the numbers began to drop rapidly again. A bit of investigation found that the drop was in the previously booming urban Hedgehog population (which unlike their rural relatives were more traffic savvy). This population drop seems to have a direct correlation with a very specific change in UK culture. Coffee. More specifically coffee shop culture. The rise of take-away coffee shops and the paper or polystyrene cup. Hedgehogs they discovers find the smell of coffee irresistible and will happily snuffle their way into the bottom of a coffee cup for a taste. Unfortunately, their prickles become jammed into the cup as they try to reverse out and the poor hedgehogs are left to either starve to death or be attacked by predators.

So if you want to help hedgehogs, when you're finished with your take-away coffee, drain the dregs, split the cup down the side and tear the bottom out of the cup before you throw it IN A BIN.

Please.

I have a Hedgehog house in my garden and I've cleverly designed it to resemble a load of garden rubbish and old planks behind my garage!! :)

Hedgehogs are the best. There's one I named Larry that comes and eats my cats food in the middle of the night sometimes. He's very cute. Also I love slow worms.

Oh no - you've finally found out! Hedgehogs doing the washing is precisely WHY our washing machines are on the ground floor near the back
Eric - please remember that you can't have something that is very unique - it either IS unique, or it ISN'T !!!! :)

There is quite a lot of different species here in the UK not found in the USA like the Roe Deer, Chinese Water Deer, Little Owl (brought over from Mainland Europe in the 19th century), Eurasian Blackbird, Eurasian Robin (Famous for being our Christmas cards), Eurasian Mole, Grass Snake, Common Lizard, Sand Lizard, Smooth Snake (our Rarest Reptile and only found in parts of Hampshire and Dorset), Tawny Owl (our most common owl species), Eurasian Otter, Common Frog, Great Crested Newt, Woodpigeon, Carrion Crow, Eurasian Jackdaw, Eurasian Jay, Eurasian Badger, Red Kite, Tree Sparrow, Eurasian Goldfinch and Eurasian Bullfinch to name a few. Bookshops here in the UK often sell books on British and European Birds. Also a couple of times in the past a weekly magazine has been on sale called Wildlife of Britain.Always enjoy your videos.

I spent some of my childhood on a Scottish highland island where there are only red squirrels - and taking a grey squirrel there would be a major offence. They are really adorable and would often venture into gardens and the trees at my school! My dad also tried to keep a wildcat as a pet when he was a child, but it went wild again the first time it had kittens!

When we moved back to the mainland we had a hedgehog who lived in our garden and set the security lights off every night.

One of the biggest reasons hedgehogs are in decline is that people fence their gardens, leaving no way in or out for hedgehogs. If you must fence your garden, leave openings for the wildlife.

We have a pair of hedgehogs in the back garden and the only thing they do currently is dig up spots in the vegetable patches! We've been leaving little bits of food and water out for them.
Also there's a red squirrel woods near us which is so awesome. Also although technically not part of the uk, have you guys heard of the Manx cat?

I could not think why I was so addicted to this channel? It popped up once and I watched it, then I kept going back again and again but then I realised it's a real life "Fun with flags"
