Turkey: Central Asia will become Turkestan

Turkey has decided to replace the term “Central Asia” with “Turkestan” in its national history curriculum. This decision follows the recent adoption of a common Latin-based Turkic alphabet by the Organization of Turkic States. It is claimed that this move marks a new phase in the strengthening of Turkic identity, fostering cooperation in linguistic and cultural spheres. By using the term “Turkestan,” Turkey aims to realign itself with Central Asia while also evaluating the region from its own distinct geopolitical perspective.

We don't see ourselves as different people, in fact Turkic/Turkish difference only exists in English. In Turkic languages we simply call each others Turks while adding region etc like Uzbek Turks or Azerbaijani Turks. We can also understand each others' languages, for example as an Anatolian Turk i can understand Uyghur and listen to songs of Abdurrehim Heyit. We were united many times in history, often becoming an unstoppable force. I think it is time for the next one and liberate our brothers and sisters still suffering. Abdurrehim and countless others will be freed and everybody will pay for their wrongdoings against our people..
