Carlos Yulo spots father in parade crowd, salutes him

Gymnastics champion Carlos Yulo, whose family rift recently made headlines, had a fleeting but heartwarming encounter with his father during the Olympic athletes' homecoming parade on Wednesday (August 14).

As the motorcade made its way from the Aliw Theater in Pasay City to the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Yulo spotted his father, Mark Andrew Yulo, among the jubilant crowd.

Seen jumping and all-smiles from the float that carried Yulo, his father had behind him a banner that caught his son's attention: "Caloy, dito Papa mo!"

Carlos, who had been waving to the crowd, appeared to directly address his father with a salute as soon as he spotted him cheering him on.
