The FDA is currently weighing a new option for a COVID vaccine. Novavax shots could alleviate some religious freedom concerns since they are not derived from aborted baby cells. The shots also offer a more traditional technology, like the type used in vaccines to prevent shingles. This is in contrast to the mRNA technology used in the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Joseph Meaney, president of the National Catholic Bioethics Center, joins EWTN News Nightly to discuss topics surrounding the new vaccine. Additionally, Meaney also discusses the recent news that Senate Democrats are urging President Biden to issue an executive order to give Americans access to abortions.
