Vaas wasn't just so effective at being the unstable and psychotic character that knew full well how to terrorize the hero. He was so well made that you'd carefully listen and watch every bit of his part of the game. Easily one of the most memorable villains in video game history.

It must be so fun for these actors to have a chance to go wild and crazy and be loved for it.
Michael Mando, Troy Baker and Greg Byrk have all defined video game villains in general and because of it they have become my favourite actors. And Giancarlo Esposito will swiftly join them.

No one even remembers Hoyt at this point even though he was not so bad. At least Joseph's siblings get screentime standing next to him :P

Vaas change the whole Farcry series. Someday, he needs to reappear.

Why no Jackal? No Dr Krueger? There wouldn't be Far Cry villains as we know them without the Jackal.

pagan min had the best monologue in the entire farcry series, and it happened at the opening scene of the game

For me the most intimidating villain would be Joseph seed, aside from being cult leader with a messiah complex, he is calm and patient even when you killed all 3 of his closest family members he still gives you a chance to walk away and when you don't he finally loses his temper and after you beat and arrest him, a nuke drops in hope county and as you and your fellow deputies desperately get to the nearest underground bunker the car crashes, leaving only you and seed as the only 2 left alive and the horrifying thought now rushes to your mind knowing your at his mercy, he looks you dead in the eyes saying he should kill you but he won't because you would be all he would have left and you vice verse and as the scene comes to a end, Seed singing amazing grace echoes in your head

A franchise which is more recognised by villain actors. 👏

Joseph Seed was so scary. He seems so real but so isolated at the same time.

There was just something different/unique about Farcry 3, and Vaas added so much to the game in such little time.
