This video saved me. The only thing I have to add is to make it very clear you need to press to the right of the red "x" for a few seconds. First time I watched this, that wasn't so obvious. Then again, I'm fairly dense. TY

For anyone finding this: The spot he's pressing is where the asterisk (*) key is. To see it, go into fax mode and it will light up the number pad there. Make a mark to be sure where the asterisk key is.

That said, I tried this and it didn't work. There are lots of websites that say to press the asterisk key, but it doesn't cause any reset menu to appear.

Other than the asterisk key, thank you, this is exactly the same model I have and I was wondering if I was doing something wrong because I'm not getting the reset menu when I hold down the asterisk key. Maybe Brother updated the firmware to prevent this from working?
