the dragonfly 2 would be a neat fixed blade. i like the ergonomics of that knife and i especially like the mid back lock combined with a finger choil makes for a neat action while closing and the knife is ambidextrous and the spidey hole and the mini wire clip…. it makes it a cool knife but really i hate the plastic handle and the tiny pivot and even though this one is my very favorite spyderco pocket clip i don’t like wire clips. like if it were available with a nice handle a larger pivot with a milled pocket clip then i would buy it up but i would still prefer to see it dressed up as a fixed blade. this one knife actually is the reason i stopped buying spyderco and it made me so incredibly mad at the time because i was trying to buy it for my nephew but they had a release of the wharncliffe version in k390 and the preorder came up in November so i bought it immediately because it was supposed to be released early on in the year and then an entire year later i inquired about it and they still had no idea when it was going to be available. when the knife came available in june more than a year and a half after a bought the preorder i decided i wasn’t ever going to buy a spyderco again so i never fulfilled my order. part of the reason is because a lot of their knives get hype when they are in fact underwhelming and blade steel in general is overrated and then they pair expensive steel with cheap plastic which is the opposite of what i want. this knife would be perfectly fine in 14c28n with steel liners and g10. there’s a lot of ways to still keep this knife simple and still make it more appealing but the plastic handles with the tiny pivot really bothers me. the k390 i would pay the extra money for a titanium handle. just seems like this knife has a great form factor but it its made by spyderco and they dont know how to step it up.

I use the spiderco Byrd Robin in g10 in my opinion, it is slightly better than the dragonfly for much less

I want to carry all my 5th pocket knives all at the same time, like you've done there ! Then take them ont one at a time to fidget. I have almost all of those. Nominating the Trivisa Andromeda as well.

The baby banter is the best small folder in existence IMO. Come on, We! Give us the We Baby Banter in titanium, a cross-bar lock, and in 20CV or something. It’s what we all want and deserve 🤞

Not as affordable, but the lil native is my favorite for the 5th pocket.

Believe this guy. He spent so much money on his knives that he couldn’t afford a set of nail clippers. Now that’s a knife guy.

I lost my baby banter. Miss that little guy. Not sure I can justify the new version at that price.

I think you should test Walther PDP knife. It is a awesome edc knife.

Just picked up the baby banter wharncliffe. The liner lock tolerances seem to be off which causes the lock to fail or not engage at all. I got a replacement and it has the same issue. What has been your experience, and is it worth fixing? I I love my regular baby banter. And love wharncliffe/ sheepsfoot blades.

I think the only one you showed that would actually fit in the 5th pocket was the Dragonfly, no? I carry either a Dragonfly, TRM Nerd or a Boker Shamsher in my 5th pocket everyday.

I don't know a damn thing about flat for my Victornox. Then I don't care. My Buck 110 is not flat anymore 😅. As a blacksmith , I don't care about folders unless they're classics. What's the point? You're living in the wrong place 😅. I can wear my knife downtown where I live. Fixed blade. I do mean mine. Wuss doctor did have a problem. Not my personal doctor, the pansy that runs the office 😅.

Because Amazon won’t ship knives to the commie state I live in, my first modern folder I bought a few years back was a Gerber Kettlebell, and I love that thing. Sure it’s Gerber, so the steel is prob 7cr, but for a little frame lock, it has a very thick blade stock and I beat it up pretty good. If it came in a better steel, I’d prob still carry it. Shoot, even D2 or something would’ve been nice. Again, I’m a slipjoint collector, so my knowledge of the newer modern folders is limited. Ordered a QSP penguin that should arrive today, looking forward to that. Been carrying the Civivi bannerett for a few weeks, and I really like it. Idk, I tend to like stuff that I’m assuming a majority of knife guys don’t care for, but that’s ok, I like what I like. Now excuse me, while I go peel an apple with my mini sodbuster lol I’m 47 yr old, going on 83.
