The first episode had left me speechless for the tone and the general situation, very gloomy, almost funereal, with cold characters, especially Sa-eon. But from the final twist (which surprised me, caught me off guard) and, above all, the second episode, I finally understood better what I was watching and the general tone. The basic story remains a bit intricate, with all these intrigues and marriages of convenience, but I'm loving the basic setting and the dynamic-alchemy between the two protagonists: Hee-joo, who seems submissive to the situation, with at most a few complaints, I like how she "transforms" when she plays Sa-eon's blackmailer, where she becomes more unscrupulous and mischievous and it is perhaps the moment in which she has a real exchange with Sa-eon, in which she shows herself truly and what she thinks; which also creates hilarious situations, in which she enjoys torturing him, teasing him with provocative photos and challenging him. But undoubtedly, in addition to this, I must say that right from the start they are giving us unexpected sensual scenes, obviously drawing from the entire repertoire of clichés that always work. The chemistry between them also works for the contrast both physical and character: he is perpetually stern, with sharp features and a caustic character (even if when it comes to Hee-joo he shows an overly fiery character, a sign that he has sincere feelings for her) and cold, while she has delicate features, a sweet look, but hides a character as aforementioned mischievous and is more courageous and energetic than she appears. In short, it surprised me more than expected, I had no expectations about this drama, but, at least for now, it surprised me.
