The Muay Thai guy is standing strong and confident without arrogance. He moves directly and with clear purpose. This is a skilled artist.

Like most of these fights, every one wants to fight a muay thai fighter as long as he's not fighting full thai rules

This TKD dude is lucky, the MT fighter didn't even use his boxing, elbows, knees and clinching.

Having trained in both traditions...Muay Thai and TKD, I respect both. They both get the job done, however in terms of professional and practical fighting Muay Thai will come out on top 9 out of 10 times. The consistent and repeatative power in the round house kicks thrown from the hips to the body and legs, the intense shin and body conditioning, absorbing blows by blocking...instead of moving out of the way which keeps you in constant range of your opponent, clenching, brutal knees and else compares to Muay Thai.

The taekwondo guy forgot every beautiful kicking style that he learned.

It is amazing how the use of elbows and knees by the Muay Thai practitioner are
removed to make the fight seem "fair".

I am a black belt in Tar Kwon Do and a former instructor, your analysis was spot on. The spinning kicks although can be effective BUT if in a situation such as this can cause more harm than good
I also saw the Tae Kwon Do fighter try to use the AX kick which in most cases are useless. Lower kicks are much more effective than high kicks they deliver more power and take less energy. As my Korean Master used to say about flashy high kicks "Looking is a good, working is a not"

I always love seeing these fights. Especially when they underestimated that leg kick. Their expressions of realization that the kick is slowly chopping them down but their ego refuses to back down. Perfect self humiliation

I fear not the man who has practiced 10, 000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10, 000 time.

Karate, Taekwondo etc were made for real fighting but over the years have evolved into a tournament martial art as moves were changed and some made illegal and forgotten. Muay Thai is still made for real fighting

Taekwondo kicks for score and entertain.
Muay Thai kicks for kill.

It's the same every time. The opponent starts off brightly, showing off his abilities. After a few minutes of getting kicked in the leg by the muay thai fighter, the pain becomes too much to handle and he can barely walk lmao.

There's so much ego radiating from the taekwondo guy

This is basically Bruce Lee's quote in practice:

“I fear not the man who has practiced 10, 000 kicks once, but I fear the man who had practiced one kick 10, 000 times.”
