"If a statue is ever erected to honor the person who has done the most for American investors, the hands-down choice should be Jack Bogle." Warren Buffett

A great American. Thank you, sir for your life’s work by giving the average man access to investing in American business.

Warren Buffett said it best in his 2016 letter to shareholders:

"If a statue is ever erected to honor the person who has done the most for American investors, the handsdown choice should be Jack Bogle. For decades, Jack has urged investors to invest in ultra-low-cost index funds.
In his crusade, he amassed only a tiny percentage of the wealth that has typically flowed to managers who have promised their investors large rewards while delivering them nothing – or, as in our bet, less than nothing – of added value.

In his early years, Jack was frequently mocked by the investment-management industry. Today,
however, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he helped millions of investors realize far better returns on their savings than they otherwise would have earned. He is a hero to them and to me."

This one man opened the door for all long term retail investors. Debunked the myths about active investing by proving it. Incredible life. RIP

Jack Bogle did more good for the average American investor than anyone...ever. Did more to enable people to retire with dignity since FDR.

I only discovered of Mister Bogle's incredible work last year, and he mentored me on investing, through his various YouTube videos. Very fortunate to have lived in this great mans time.

Knowing I wanted to invest, but having no idea how or where, I went to a bookstore to buy a book on the subject. I looked at several, but it was the "Little Book of Common Sense Investing" that went home with me. I could have just as easily chosen poorly. But that book totally changed my life and has driven my investing philosophy for over 15 years.

Jack Bogle knew all along his idea was right, the math was right, the concept was right. If he is Wall Street's enemy, he is my friend. RIP Jack.
