It's possible, but you gotta trick your gfx card, because the card's EDID only allows 640x480 resolution. You gotta use an HDMI splitter to use it's EDID to fool your gfx card.

Good vid, I just have a question, I have read that when you are recording that there is a little delay on the TV you are playing on (not the PC), that it doesn't feel too much but there is a delay while recording at 1080p, is it true? of how much time is the delay on the TV? and another question, Imagine I have already connected my elgato and ready for recording, is there a button for start recording? is there on the PC or the capture has a button for that?, is it easy to start recording? thanks

Finally, a device that can capture digital HDMI with USB 2.0 ports and is not a capture board. Can't you use a DVi to HDMi tool to bypasa the HDCP?

Alright So if you buy this you connect the wire that comes with it that has avv in and can connect to ps3 and then you take a hdmi and connect it to the tv . but then you have to change the thing to component if you were playing on pc
