They really did the Kingsmen dirty in this movie… all bases & members getting blown up .. and then showing off the Yankee version as all powerful and advanced it’s just boring.. I wish they kept the focus on the actual Kingsmen

For you history buffs. Golden circle should mean something. during the American Civil War, there was rather large fraternity known as the "Knights of the Golden Circle" and it was an order set on expanding the confederacy's sphere of influence, including expanding the african slave trade to south american empires and possibly forming a golden circle around the gulf of mexico as a slave federation. By all accounts, they failed miserably, like impressively badly. But they did succeed in a few ways. The golden circle established multiple small colonies in brazil, those colonies still exist, they dont claim independence from brazil anymore and instead just make light of their unique history, but they still fly the confederate flag and are predominantly light skinned brazilians. Honestly really neat places historically speaking. But the fact that a drug cartel in south america, run by a southerner obsessed with old americana chose the name "Golden Circle" especially when drug addiction is often described as being a slave to the drug. That wasnt a coincidence.
