After the 2020 Covid Pandemic changed the lives of musicians all over the world, the members of Videri String Quartet tried to think of ways to keep the hope alive that someday soon we can all play together again. We held an arranging competition, and through the competition, not only did we continue to create music while quarantined to four different states, but we ended up receiving over 60 submissions! We not only kept making music, we met some AMAZING arrangers along the way!!!
The first prize arrangement, Alone We Have No Future from Death Stranding, sums up perfectly everything Videri stands for.
Truly, alone we have no future.
2020 was a rough year. But we are not alone, and the future looks hopeful!
Here's to a new year of music, friendship, collaboration, and empathy.
