I’m rewatching the stream while I do my mending; Thank you for another stream where we can all discuss RoP. *Cheers TPG🤘*

I enjoyed this episode tremendosuly and was moved by Celebrimbor ...the usual odd stuff happening was also very present.

The teleportation for me was really jarring. I also find they over explain plot points because they think the audience cannot understand what's happening, there was a scene where Mirdania was very involved on the front line of the Eregion defences... erm excuse me, you're a smith what are you doing here? But explaining that they are about to dam the river just before they actually did it was totally unnecessary.

So I wonder how they will off Celebrimbor.I mean in the lore it was pretty brutal.
The whole passage of time is very annoying. Like I'm going to walk to there and tada I'm there😮

Loved the scenes with Celebrimbor, HATED everything else. For a 1 billion dollar budget, this was fan film level of a battle

I can't really like this series any longer. After that kiss, it looks to me just a bastardization of Tolkien legacy. However, I am very happy to bump into your channel. You and Nerd of the Rings not only analyse the whole episode, but you guys also do research to explain why maybe some things were shown or referenced, and i really appreciated that. Wenneed more people like you on yt and less like Nerdrotic fans, but honestly, i think this show is beyond saving. Looking forward to your next analysis.

I wonder if it would have been better if Rings of Power had been made in Bollywood. At least you have singing and dancing between all the nonsense acting.
The battle... We are not talking about just any TV(streaming rather) show here. We are talking about a show with a tremendous budget. That wanted to compete with Game of Thrones. Pick any major battle in GoT and it will be better choreographed, better written and more satisfying. (OK, perhaps the death of the Night King comes close to RoP niveau. But that was GoT on a downtrend already...)

Apart from a couple of moments, they even managed to make a supposedly massive battle nonsensical and lame. The ability of this show to make a complete mess of something that should be epic and compelling is actually impressive. I laughed out loud (well snorted) a few times at some of the more ridiculous stuff that happened this episode.

Celebrion also has big presence with the ent wives and their garden and what Sauron did to them😢

I admire you my friend, watching this series is just too much, not from a Tolkeinian point of view, just as a standalone show, it is rough.

I'm not surprised by anything of the stupid and ridiculous things the writers put into this episode. Why? Because they have been doing that all along. It's the exception when they actually do follow what Tolkien wrote.

I'm watching the series but have mixed feelings about it (desperately hoping they don't put Gandalf in as - judging by the dialogue callbacks to LOTR - they are either doing or suggesting). That said, I really liked this episode. In particular, the dynamic between Celebrimbor and Sauron. I actually thought Sauron was appearing as Galadriel at the end but apparently not.

Damrod reminded me of one of the giants on the Anime series Attack on Titan

11:50 likely the dwarves are staying behind to fight the balrog not the king

This show will never deliver something great with no caveats, but this episode was pretty strong. It was more focused, and used Celebrimbor/Sauron and Elrond/Durin as anchor characters. Smart choice as these dynamics really work.

That Galadriel kiss was weird. She should have been Celebrian all along.

Ive seen many films on the internet where there are romances with men and their mother-in-laws and step mothers etc. - so elrond and galadriel getting together perhaps not so strange.

I think the blood thing works as long as there's enough other metal; like it's just a special ingredient that doesn't actually add a significant amount of "mass" to the rings. At least that's my explanation xDD

It was Anton Chekhov that said it first - if you in introduce a gigantic cave troll in Act 1, you must use it in Act 3! 😂
