Domino World 2019 Closeup

Hey y'all! Sorry about the late upload -- honestly my only excuse is that I've been really busy. With that said, this is the first of three new videos you can expect from me this summer. Next up is my closeup from Reactica, and after that I expect to upload video of the Maryland Science Center Domino Day topple, which I'll be building for in mid-September. Until then, though, enjoy!

And an update on what I'll be doing after this summer: I'm off to college next year, and I unfortunately won't be very close to home. I'm also expecting to be very busy (as STEM majors often are). I plan to continue doing live events. I will see what I can do in terms of bringing my materials with me, and I will try to build during breaks. I can't make any promises, but I also refuse to let this channel die. I will remain active in this community, and machine building (and dominoes too!) is my passion. I don't plan on letting anything change that.

First off, I'm glad you posted a close up of the machine, even if it is late. This machine was a great way to kickoff the event, and I'm surprised that you were able to build so much in such a short span of time!


Okay so 0:18 I really like how you put the title together. The closing book is such a satisfying motion, and the unraveling background and moving letters are super sweet! Also, where does everyone keep getting that "Domino" Label from??? 0:24 The way you used the multiple grooves of that piece of wood was so creative! I loved how you were able to move the marble from one groove to another with ease as well. And then you flipped it around and used as a track 0:42 This is a very Chase thing to build lol. The swooping motion of the cube and the way you had the tracks fall AGAIN was a clever multi-use. 0:56 Idk why I like this connection so much. It's just... perfect. Also hey, is that the spoon Lyle used in the Vsauce Machine?

Lol, this was a really awesome machine especially considering that you made it with only half as much time as we did. I’m really glad you were able to make it.

I really liked this machine! I thought the tricks you made like the domino world 2019 at the beginning was super cool! It was a shame that it didn't fall perfectly at the event. But it was still pretty cool! Keep up the great work!

This is a great live event machine! I think my favorite trick would have to be the domino track sequence, I absolutely love it.
