After learning a lot from my previous two playthroughs, and finding the game just amazingly fun, we're embarking on our third journey in the galaxy! The goal is to get further than system 6 this time, with a focus on optimising our ship, both in terms of area, energy usage, travel distances and room proximities. This Let's Play was started with the space station start, and I started with 6 crew members, building my ship totally from scratch, which was a very fun and different experience that I highly recommend!

As usual, our crew will be some our named friends, with some additional members having joined this time, which should add to the amusement and fun of the series!

Caledorn, there is one more thing you could do. You didn't stumble into it because of Peaceful mode. It is hard to have happen in any game, but you may be interested in just one more short episode to show something rather disturbing, but cool. I don't want to spoil your viewers. And it explains something you saw and commented on. Others have had it happen, since I found a screenshot on Discord, but it is clear many have not noticed it and don't realize it is programmed in.
I am now in the Discord. You can find this handle under the Suggestions list. If you are interested, I can provide screenshots and you can then decide if you want instructions for reproducing it in channel yourself.

Okay, Caledorn seems to have taken the weekend off, so I'll post up how to do what I hinted at. I posted to Space Haven Discord Screenshots section today a four panel screenshot. It shows a Floater picking up an unconscious person, and then resin-gluing the person to the wall, as per Aliens. This is why Floaters do largely energy damage: they want to put you to sleep. They want you alive.
To see this yourself, find a derelict with a Floater. Disarm the crew member and shuttle over. I had no difficulty allowing this to happen. One charge from the Floater can knock you out, but the slashes will do it, too. The Floater drifts over you, does a quick animation, and then moves to an appropriate wall and glues the person in.
You do not lose vision, so you can watch the whole thing, and know exactly where the crew is if you choose to rescue. I let the crew stay there for 5 game days, and nothing further happened. O2 levels don't drop, so the crew stays alive indefinitely. I may have rescued the crew this originally happened to, or may have reloaded: I forget that detail. i do not know if bringing them back will Alien out a biter on ship. What I do know is that unless you Draft your crew, they do not pull out their guns to fight invaders, so a Biter released on ship is going to require your personal intervention.
I am not the first to see this happen: someone else posted a shot to Discord, but it was long range and hard to make out (I zoomed way in to make it clearer), and maybe most thought it was faked. There were no comments at all about it.
