You reminded me of the Jefferson Bible. While Jefferson could not accept the mystical, he was deeply moved by the moral teachings of Jesus. Even for the non-believer, Jesus most certainly provides a moral template for all to follow! 🙏

I have been passionate about seeking wisdom my entire life. Through learning, we open our minds and spirits to possibilities yet discovered. We open to the opportunity to do for others and live as Jesus taught us, “Not my will, but yours Father”. Your words dovetail my 12 step recovery meeting this morning. Learning that it is not my self-will, but God’s, is what keeps me free from addictive eating and thinking. I’m learning from many members of my group who are instrumental to my healing. This gift comes straight from the Father. I am blessed to be in recovery so I may see, with clear eyes, the exciting new things for me to do and how to serve others. Thank you Matthew for your daily gift. I also thank my friend George B. who sent me “Life is Messy”. Isn’t that a God wink? 😉
