Jewish tradition held that the Messiah would come through King David's line. Jesus came through David and Bathsheba's line. King David was (and still is) considered one of their greatest Kings. He was the young shepherd boy who killed the Philistine giant Goliath. Even though he probably lost his exaltation by shedding innocent Uriah's blood. ❤❤❤

Yes, and that is something Islam confirms and therefore definitely true: Jesus did not abolish the law, he said that it’s mandatory to observe it and the ones who didn’t do that were the least in the kingdom of God. That’s exactly the islamic view!

Could you please sight this text where Jesus said to be great that we have to keep the law?

Matthew has contradictions with the law of
Moses. Moses said God told him to kill all adulterers. Jesus forgave completely the woman caught in adultery when men wanted to stone her to death.
The law of Moses said that sacrifice is necessary for redemption. Jesus said forgiveness redeems us.
"If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice, ' you would not have condemned the innocent."

If Jesus is the son of God how is he related to David and Abraham? Aren't they Joseph's relatives?

So did Matthew trace Jesus lineage through Joseph's line, or Mary's?

Wasn't every Jew, including Jesus, "son of Abraham"? But then, Jesus was son of god, not Abraham, nor David.

Shouldn't we first discuss how Moses didn't exist?

Yes, of course. But Jesus fulfilled the Law of Moses. Now it's done. There is no further sacrifice required.

Isn’t the point of the Gospels is that Jesus is the son of God.

Christians are supposed to be Jewish, but that was too ethnic for European sensibilities, so they had to come up with a way to become a new religion that remained connected to the same deity

Its genealogy. Not geneology. For Peter's sake

As a Muslim that's what I also believe.

today we throw away God's law and replacing them with secular man made laws because we know better then God?!
that's the problem with Lawless Christianity.

I thought jc was the son of god?
Why did a god have humans interpret and translate his story.
Its extremely complex and convoluted.
And full of contradictions and scientific impossibilities not to mention condoning genocide misogyny and slavery.
It's like it was put together piecemeal by humans.
And most definitely not innerant
