I was absolutely blessed to visit St. Andrew's church in Riverside this past Sunday, and one of the assistant priests, Fr. Thomas, had a wonderful homily on just this. Figuring out what our desire is, as we approach lent. Choosing to delight in God, just as the Canaanite woman chose to desire and delight in God, and seek his mercy, despite conflict.

What a wonderful parish community. I look forward to visiting another day soon!

Been reading more and more of the Good Book it’s making a huge impact. Passages pop off the page screaming to be used if ever needed. The sword of the spirit is sharpened by the Word.

And yes, i do want to know him better.
That´s why i am embracing Orthodoxy, i need to be in it, live it and feel it.
But my nation has a handfull of Orthodox churches and maby 1 that speaks in a language i understand. So i study privatly to learn how to live a orthodox life since i am not from a christian background atall.
I´v begun to pray every morning as i wake up and thanking for the food i recieve, i am reading about saints to find some that resonates with me allthough i need Archangel mikael icon if there are one.
I allways felt connection to him for some reason.
If my nation is robbing me of the blessing to be able to join a Orthodox church, i will BUILD one myself.
Is there any tips on how live closer to Orthodoxy myself until i find a church?
