the brand of facebook is not facebook itself, it's Mark, his reputation is doomed and whatever new businesses associated with his name are doomed too soon. Meta won't work because of him.

The only reason why people haven't given up on facebook or might join Meta as well is because they don't have an alternative. and facebook was smart buying out new competitions.

The government must regulate this competition thing and give more room to new startups who have better innovative ideas than facebook but they're just afraid of being copied and eventually fail.

Given global governmentsare discussing the possibility of generating laws to have Facebook and other huge companies like it, forced to be broken into smaller companies for greater accountability, I'd say it's quite a defensive move, but Mark and his team would have predicted the threat long ago and this is how they've prepared for it, or so it would seem.
