I LOVE the minor 9th chord! The fact that it's a minor chord with an entire major 7th chord inside it gives is a very solemn, but at the same time, very ethereal sound

Favorite chord? Geez. It's a tough one, but there is a particular voicing of altered dominants that I really enjoy: 1 3 #5 b7 #9. On C, that'll be C E Ab Bb Eb. It just sounds really cool and catches my attention whenever I hear it (which isn't very common outside of jazz). The fifth doesn't need to be raised, but I find that the raised fifth makes the chord sound "smoother" in a way, as opposed to the "primal" sound of a regular dominant 7#9.

In general, I love the tension between the major third and flatted third when they're balanced with the tritone of the major third (which makes a perfect fourth with the flatted third above it, a "nice" interval). You can also get kind of the same effect with a dominant 13 (e.g. C Bb D E A) or a sus7b5 (e.g. C Gb Bb C F) and there are probably other voicings out there. It's amazing how beautiful tritones and minor seconds can sound when balanced with other intervals.

My favorite type of chord is the maj9! I love how, when you break it down, it is comprised of two major chords and that these two chords, when separated in the key of the root, function as tonic and dominant. It has a very unique sound that I find very fun to listen to and work with. I would love to hear about any examples from games.

My favourite chord is EASILY the maj7#11. Its just so dreamy and hopeful and in my opinion, very "Anime" sounding

C#m9 - voice in piano with a double octave C# in bass, and (lowest to highest) B D# E G# in the right hand. It's fun to move to an F#m9 by phrasing the F#m9 as F# C# in the bass and A C# E G# in the right hand. Really nice sounding pattern.

I am not one for fancy chords, I generally like low, open-voiced major chords: 5th power chord followed by a major sixth. E.g.
Eb Bb G Bb
I think this voicing is pretty and very malleable.

My favorite chord is Dominant with major 9, specially if it's a V7/V. I also love the sound of a minor6 like gipsy jazz uses very commonly.

It works as a main backing chord but it sounds pronounced enough that it could stand on its own as well.

I love Maj6/9 chords voiced in fifths [eg: C-G-D-A-E], and voiced in fourths from the third (with the root included below to give it a bit more stability) [eg: C-E-A-D-G-C], and Maj13#11 chords voiced in fourths [eg: C-F#- B-E-A-D-G] (actually... I like it better without that fifth on top, so I guess that would make it a Maj13b5 chord).

Eb octave with the fifth coupled with a Gb Major triad right above it. When I first wrote it, it screamed from the rooftops "Devil got nothin' on this"
