If u haven't got that machine, nothing wrong reverting back to the old bathtubs!!! Build a fire underneath it, 130 degrees is ideal... And also a temp Guage in the water to let you know when it's the correct temp and to kill the fire... A lot slower but the results are exactly the same if done properly...🐖🐷

I want to thank you for your informative videos...a lot of things I didn't know about slaughtering pigs..we have feral pigs where I live and I never killed one due to not knowing how to prepare it once I killed it...keep the videos coming

Beautiful mate! Much better than trying to pore hot water pot after pot. That machine is even better than magic!

I’d say those who didn’t believe the time fast forwarded the 3 minutes rather then waiting. Nicely done

Love your vids mate, really helpful and informative. Ive been killing pigs, usually smaller ones on my mate's place for a while and we have to scald and scrape manually - it would be great to have a machine like this but he's only a hobby farmer so not viable. Loved your skinning vid too, we have a boar that slipped through the net to do next so he will get skinned I think. Cheers, David

Hi I do my own small slaughtering butchery business I don't do quite enough pigs for one of those yet but they do tend to make the job a bit easier by the looks of it mainly beef sheep and venison for me
I enjoyed the video

Hello sir, thank you for sharing the knowledge . you had given details of the machine about the width is 2000mm, the oil bath is used of 8000 watts elements, please do a favor by saying how much capacity of oil tank does your machine this contains, how much oil is sufficient for heating water in the tub to obtain the required water temperature 63 C for 3 minutes, finishing the de-hairing and scalding process

I've seen the chicken pluckers but never a hog dehairing machine. Great video thanks!

Interesting video. Impressive machine and performance. Got two technical question that bug my mind though:
1.) can the forceful beating of those rubber paddles inside the machine result in the organs/organ meat getting damaged/dislodged/teared from their place?
2.) can the same thing result in the bladder/guts/intestines tearing/emptying waste material inside the body cavity and/or outside the body i.e. soiling the tank and the surface of the carcas?

I know you mentioned it is 63C inside the tub, but that (for only 3 or so minutes) is far below boiling temperature necessary for thorough desinfection should any waste material escape the carcas (or even if none does). I am not trying to be a smartass, just asking.

Anyways, interesting method, yet strangely alien to my Central European eyes. Newer have I seen or heard about this method before I went on YouTube. Since then I have seen Americans lifting the carcass with a cranes and pulleys into barrels and tubs.
We in CE scorch pigs thoroughly with a gas blowtorch - used to be done with burning lots of straw in the old days. In homekill and industrial contexts too, I hasten to add. It results in 1.) total removal of the bristles/hair; 2.) a thoroughly desinfected body surface, every crack and cravice - down to deeper layers of the skin; 3.) slight caramellisation of the skin (beneficial for further processing and from food preservation perspectives too).
Only then we scald (pouring only) the scorched carcas, and scrape away any remains (if present at all) of hair/soot. When processing pigs at home, some even plug the rear end of the pig to absolutely minimize the chance of vaste material escaping the ever so slightly shrinking carcas.

Anyhow; good videos, lots of professionalism in them, keep up the good work.
Greetings from Hungary; and stay safe!

There is so much that is a part of everyday life that I have no clue about and you sir have taught me about one of those parts

Good friend, I would like to ask you a question? At what temperature is the water to be able to peel the pork?

Hi, do you need a boiler for hot water to run the machine?
Or the machine heat itself the water?

Thanks, a lot! That clears some doubt and it's a very useful machine. Where can I get this machine from?

Good job 👍 How often do you change the water in the machine? Where do you discard water? Many thanks

Can this unit be used on goats ? I suppose the head would have to be off or the horns might be trouble. Would that let hair and dirty water in too much ?. Apparently Australia sells lots of goat skin on now. And it looks quicker and easier than skinning too.

Great video! Do you need a boiler to get the hot water in the machinery? Or the water get heat up instantly when it gets in the machine?
