Phil is one of that rare breed that sounds as good now as he did 40 years ago. Sheer class & Being Boiled is an absolute stone-cold synth classic. Full stop. End of story.

For the sake of sanity, it's good to listen to 'Being Boiled" once a year on full blast 🙂

Seen them live a couple of times in recent years and you cannot fully reproduce just how loud the synths are live... they literally go through. If you get the chance to see them live, do it, it's awesome

Used to work by Phils studio I woukd see his old Jag' parked outside his most days and it would have a parking ticket... Guess he couldn't be arsed paying for parking.... Love this song.

Remember when I was a 15 years old and Human Leagues Dare album came out 1981, we always loved the darker songs and we dived into this older record from HL, and we were instantly hooked by the Travelogue album, we had Philip Oakey haircuts too back in the time and we found our musical indenty with early Human League and early Kraftwerk, especially Trans Europe Express and the Radio aktivitet album ;). I'm 55 years old now and I'm still going to conserts and synth festivals ;)
