Well said. This topic has gained new life since October 7. There is no such thing as replacement theology because there is no Jew and Gentile anymore. Those who are in Christ are one new man. This perhaps Dr. MacArthur's one great inconsistency. Thank you for this Word.

Amen brother Jonah. Been preaching the same thing to many pro-Israel, pro-Jewish Christians that refuse to consider the Scripture and even Jesus' own words. All true believers are welcome in the Church. Now we just need the same truth preached about Catholicism. They are just as lost as unbelieving Jews. Many Protestant Christians are now as well. All Christians must stay in the Word and reject the false teachings of the Church.

The damaging effect is, God said He will never forget Israel or the Jewish people. God can not lie ever. Once He says something it is settled.

A point you miss is that John McArthur's approach to evangelism of a Jew would be very odd in any other context. The gospel message is "you are in rebellion against God, repent and trust in Jesus who has done everything necessary to put you right with God". Having got through that THEN one can draw to someone's attention other cultural elements.

you are right, Zechariah explains how at the end only 1 third will remain at the end and then all of those will believe, cry out & be saved

Clear precise response. Loved it. JM not wanting to offend may make him feel better but is it biblical? "You're out and I'm in" is mild compared to Jesus "But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Bro! Every word. Usually I have quibbles here and there even when people broadly agree with me. Not so with this video. Every word was shot on. This was a fantastic response.

I like MacArthur but this is where we part ways. I can’t get on board with dispensationalism. I think it’s an error and an incorrect way to interpret the scriptures.

I agree with the commentators who dared to disagree. The Kingdom thar John MacArthur refers to is Revelation 20, which is called "The Millenial Reign of Christ". The whole debate comes down to this - the Catholics teach the prophecies - partucularly in Revelation are allegorical, symbolic, meant to convey a "spiritual" - but not literal - trutb. Those who disagree, as I do, tend to take God at His Wotd. The Church teaches that we are presently in the Millenial Reign of Christ with Him rulimg through the Church. Does it seem like in the world we live in that this is The Millenial Reign of Christ? But if you conclude it's all "symbolic" and "spiritual", then Yes this is it. Seems a little disappointing to me. On Replacement Theology - and yes, that's what it is - the Church is the "new" Israel replacing Old Testament Israel - what gets lost in most arguments is the distinction between national Israel and Israel in the sense of being God's people. Are the Covenental Promises to national Israel - specifically related to rhe Land - still in effect. Most who advocate your viewpoint conclude No, then insult anyone who disagrees aa being a Christian Zionist (all the while advocating Christian Palestiniasm). The conclusion that God's Covenental Promises to national Israel no longer apply have taken Replacement Theology to cover both spiritual aspects and National aspects of Israel. This is a mistake that has resulted in dismissing countless promises throughout Scripture and resulta in people concluding that the resurrection of national Israel after nearly 2, 000 years of death is norhing. Hmmm. It is at least a truly historic event, unparalelled in human history, that should at least given a secondary review before dismissing it out of hand.
But this whole thing comea down to this: the Church teaches that it's all symbolc. Once you conclude that, you can make Scripture mean anything you want

Both teachers heavily relied on straw man arguments, despite the comment at the end of the video. It's frustrating that most videos misrepresent the other side on this issue.

There is only ONE Vine and the Vine is Christ so there cannot be TWO Israels. You cannot be grafted in and not grafted in at the same time.

Gal 3:28  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29  And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Yes it is a misnomer to call it "replacement theology. "

John Mc Arthur's view on this is similar to those of the majority jews of Jesus' time. All they want to see is physical.

Man, this video is so good. I’ve been preaching this for about five years or so now and I couldn’t have done better. I consider myself a post- TRIB rapture non-dispensation historic premillennialist, not a modern dispensational premillennialist, but I’m totally fine with post millennial and amillennialism.

What’s interesting is the dispensationalists butchered Daniel chapter 9 verses 26 and 27. These are the very verses that should be being used to reach the Jewish people Because it proves to them the Messiah had to come after the second temple was built and die before the second temple was destroyed and it gives an answer to them as to why God has not allowed them to go back to their animal sacrifices. The price is already been paid forever by Jesus. God bless brother it’s very good to see that others see the truths that exist in God‘s word.

So if the Messiah is yet to come, then what is their hope from first century to who knows when and then one must infer there is no salvation for them until their 'Messiah' comes?

Yes, all the disciples were Jewish and all the converts on Pentecost were also Jewish and they all where saved by the gospel. So when did that arrangement change?

The Jewish nation in AD70 were judged for their rejection of Jesus their Messiah. To date they refuse to accept Him and many Christians, especially the dispensationalists are doing a serious disservice by giving them a false hope.

There is no replacement theology. God preached the Gospel to Abraham 430 years before the Law. Israel never replaced the Church. And, natural Israel was utterly destroyed by God in 70AD. The nation in the middle east today is not Israel.

Hi John. Thank you for your passion.

“Replacement Theology” is the belief that the Church has replaced the Jews. Luther got that wrong, so did the church in Rome. MacArthur is arguing against that.

You are correct that the early church was heavily Jewish, but the numbers of gentiles soon grew larger. Acts 1 explains that two became one. Jews who accepted Christ are a new creation - they are Christian.

There are 15 million Jews in the world. They missed their Messiah the first time. Paul explains in Romans that he preaches to the gentiles to make the Jews jealous for what they missed. His heart continued to beat for his fellow Jews. We must continue to witness to them in love.

I’m confident that MacArthur has evangelized Jews with the same Gospel message as he shares with gentiles.

Scripture is clear. There WILL be a coming Kingdom after Christ returns. How else will God fulfill the promises that He made to Israel?

“Has the church replaced Israel?”

Question is such a misnomer.

Here’s a question: Were the Jewish disciples of Christ part of Israel or the church?

I think that, amongst, many scriptural proofs, helps answer our question.

Matthew 3:9 - And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

I just watched a clip on the from John MacArthur as he is my usual go to and saw your thumb nail and clicked on it to keep an open mind to hear a different opinion. I’m glad I did, it’s certainly given my more to think about 🙏

If Christians replaced blood born “covenant” Israel & Judah, who keep the commandments of Yah and have the testimony of Christ, please explain the judgement of Joel 3? This is clearly referring to a people group.
