Depending on driver version, the cache folders will be located elsewhere. The newest drivers have changed the directory locations for example. This is one of the reasons to occasionally use DDU, as these changes otherwise do not take place. Nvidia basically likes to rearrange the Local files between versions on new installs.

And don't forget the actual games engine "can" cause stuttering which is annoying! Thanks for this tip Bri 😊😊

Some games have their own shader caches that need to be cleared. For instance Assassin's Creed Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla and Mirage all have shader caches in the Documents\Assassin's Creed <game name>\cache You can just delete the files or even the entire folder and the games will rebuild the cache the next time you start them up

Frequently searched topic about Graphics Card cache but it doesn't use SSD.

So basically, as the game start, all Cache will be moved from SSD into RAM. it behaves pretty muchlike RAMDisk.

So in other words, any DirectX Cache request will be scrapped from RAM instead of SSD. And it is significantly faster.

The only downside of this, the effects only takes effect until the PC is rebooted. So once you reboot, it might ask to "rebuild cache"

Hmm .. no silly video thumbnails this time? .. well, that's definitely something new .. has deserved a "like" methinks 😁 .. however, since I personally don't give a damn about gaming, I'll leave that "how to" to others :))

Not necessary "right click > show more options". Just hold down Shift then right click and you get it already.

I have a weird issue with youtube for example . When i was with amd gpu i didn't have any issues watching any sorts of videos . When i got my nvidia some videos had problem buffering and they defaulted to the lowest resolution . Some recommended turning off hardware acceleration but when i turn it off there is tearing in the videos . This issue occurs only in specific channels strangely enough, or some live streams . Any idea what that could be ? Turned off fxaa, scaling off, ANGLE graphics backend" to OpenGL from chrome flags . Using chrome btw . On firefox i don't have this issue it seems . Gpu works fine, no issues there .

I had uninstalled with Display Driver DDU software in safe mode all traces of NVIDIA driver because after I had done clean install off Windows 10 Pro after I had installed NVIDIA driver through windows auto driver update I got blank white icons of edge browser and intel software when I search in search bar for them. I just like INTEL and AMD graphics, last night I had reported it to Microsoft Disability Support Chat because I have Aspergers Syndrome Disability since birth I also use double driver when I want to install my backed up drivers to auto install them from main backup

Can you tell me why my c drive is getting less without me installing anything on it?

It's amazing how much crap NVIDIA leave behind on your PC especially after driver updates.

Cant you just click the "clean install" option? I never just update an NVIDIA driver...always click clean install option

I can use DDU and reinstall the drivers faster than your process.
