Reissued in the wake of 1998 Stateside success for the band alongside an expanded edition of its parent album Formica Blues, Life In Mono had a brand new video filmed in New York City. The gorgeous original in all its John Barry Ipcress File sample meets electronica glory was joined by new remixes from Echo labelmates Lhooq, Banana Republic and Bush Master
Formica Blues’ 25th anniversary this August is celebrated with a deluxe edition of the album featuring rare remixes from Matthew Herbert, Mr Scruff, Les Rhythmes Digitales (AKA Stuart Price) and the Aloof.

You don't know how good it feels to know there are other people out there who share your love of obscure musical gems. It's very nice to know I'm not alone in appreciating it. It took me 3 months to track down a vinyl copy in Japan but it was well worth it.

All these years later, still as magical and hauntingly beautiful as ever. One of my all time favorite songs that never gets old. It transports me to another world which is far better than this one.

I had the unusual luck of touring Europe in the symbolic year of 1999 when all this enigmatic, triphopoid music was playing everywhere... I could even write a very inspired book, but I still don't have my own house, haha.
