AirPods Pro 2 Honest Review after 2 Weeks! Shady Apple..

I once thought AirPods Pro are a luxury buy, but they have become indispensable to me throughout the day. The upgrade is a no-brainer.

I’ve noticed the noise cancellation get steadily worse over time on the originals. The ANC on Gen 1 were comparable to Gen 2, but they could not handle the bass when ANC was on, so Apple had to tone it down. So even though I noticed the gaslighting… the AirPods Pro 2 were still worth the buy for me!

I’ve had these for about a week now. You are spot-on with your review. I do travel a lot and they are much better on a plane than the originals. Night and day difference with the noise cancellation! Also, I still really enjoy the AirPod Max since they are more comfortable over the ear and not in it. I will not be updating them based on your experience. The AirPod Pro 2s have been worth the upgrade for me!

I had bought the Pro’s 2 last week because I had ended up losing the 1st Gen AirPod left side, I was planning on buying the Pro’s but then I had heard late on that the Gen 2 to the Pro’s were dropping so I waited a bit until I had the chance to buy them, and honestly, it’s a HUGE upgrade.



My thoughts overall on the AirPods Pro 2 blows my mind, when I first tried them on my ears felt like they had an orgasm because of how strong ANC is, but it’s so good since I live in the city and take train, and music, that hits so different for me, I have yet to try watching movies, but overall I love these, and I recommend anyone who’s wanting to buy AirPods for the first time, or upgrade from whatever AirPods/headphones they currently have, it’s a game changer.

I feel that my original air pods have gotten worst recently but I thought that maybe was all in my head but now knowing that other people had the same issue I truly believe that something happened. I can hear more background noise more than more than before. For example the bathroom extractor or the AC.

I also noticed a HUGE sound quality decrease, right around the time the new AirPod Pro 2’s were released. Noise cancellation certainly degraded, it’s so noticeable that I thought my AirPods were broken. Shady, indeed.

Upgraded from the 1st gen. Sound quality for music is def noticeable. You’re not kidding on the bass having more presence. Volume output is def better too.
Adaptive noise cancelling is def nice too & as well as the mic quality.

I think if you’ve have 1st gen pros since launch, or any qualities the video mentions are what you really notice or utilize… an upgrade may be worth it if you can afford it

Can you tell if Bluetooth 5.3 on the iPhone 14 allows it to sound any better compared with 5.0 on the 13 line? Curious if you have done a comparison.

This is the best review of these I have seen so far, thank you. The standout feature of these buds is the personal spatial audio. Whatever Apple have done with this, this feature elevates these to a different level in terms of improved imaging and focus. Apply a little EQ and you have a set of true wireless buds that are impressively accurate.

I haven’t noticed that noise cancelling have gotten worse. I still love these things and wearing them right now watching this on my ipad. I use them daily.

Issues I can definitely note with my Airpod Pros 1st Gen:
1. Worse audio: when I talk outside, others can’t hear me over the phone due to the headphones picking up other noises louder than my own voice.
2. Slightly weaker ANC: I take the bus and train in NY everyday. I have noticed a slightly weaker ANC to a point where I am now able to hear the bus revving or the train track noises and announcements.

Edit: ANC has gotten worse. I usually do my morning routine of brushing and doing my hair with blow dryer and I can very clearly hear the running water and blow dryer much much louder than before update.

I feel the same about the audio quality of the AirPods Pro 2 vs the airpod max! I am shook how well the H2 chip handles music. I do agree the AirPods Max still sound better overall, but the AirPods Pro 2 have better highs and sound stage. Does the Bluetooth 5.3 contribute to that higher quality?

Apple has been doing this for iPhones battery life as well. Initially I was getting 11-12 hours of screen on time for 100% charge. After WWDC(about 9 months after launch) it dropped to 7-8 hours. Now after release of iPhone 14 series it dropped to 5-6 hours on my 13 Pro Max

I went from pro 1 to pro 2. I fly regularly for work and I couldn’t believe how much better the noise cancellation was on the 2’s. It was ridiculous, I couldn’t believe what I wasn’t hearing.

I recently purchased the AirPods Pro 2 and I think your review is spot on except for one thing. My primary use for the AirPods is to listen to music while I'm cycling. Unfortunately, the noise cancelation of higher frequency wind noise is very poor, to the point where I can barely hear my music when my speed is above about 15mph. I have had to revert to using my old AirPods Pro on flatter rides where my speed tends to be above 15mph most of the time. In this case, the noise cancelation of the old AirPods is far superior. I have reported this problem to Apple. I'm using the latest AirPods Pro 2 firmware.

When the first version came out the noise cancellation was better than the 2s. But they killed it with the first firmware upgrade. They were never the same again.

It’s great that these AirPods Pro’s 2s are better but Apple making the old AirPods Pro’s and Maxs worse with a software update is completely unacceptable!!- better fix that for people who use those older AirPods!.

Nice review! I am on the fence on upgrading but with all the impressive reviews and reactions, I might get one on Black Friday (if there is any good deal but it just came out and being an Apple product so I doubt)

I have a pair of AirPods Max and the ANC has not degraded. I double checked the firmware and I have the latest update. I repeat: The Active Noise Canceling has not changed one little bit. They still cancel out noise EXACTLY the way they always did. Max, saying Apple purposefully downgraded the ANC capabilities is very shady on your part. You and Vadeem have a great channel here that I watch regularly. Don’t screw it up by telling lies for clicks. It is beneath you.

I’m still running on the gen 1 original AirPods. Looking to pick up a pair of these this Christmas I hope it’s a big difference.
