Seamless Textures in Gimp in 90 seconds

Показать описание
I show you how to make a seamless tiling texture from a seamful one without wasting any time!

Note that the original image should have a pretty uniform brightness level and general appearance, otherwise you will have a hard time making it wrap around.
Also, make sure your image dimensions are divisible by two or the offset-by-half operation won't work correctly.

Short, concise and to the point. Even 3 years later this was a huge help - thank you!

Thank you for this quick and easy to understand tutorial. Folks today seem to overthink & overexplain instructions but you did it right with this one.

Not sure why this does not work for me. When I use Tile Seamless, it just lays a translucent version of the image over top of the original image. No repeating patterns and it looks horrible.

Strange you have made a very good quality tutorial but only got 500 subs?

Clone stamp tool. Why didn't I think of that?

I imagine that gimp cannot do this on 32 bits exr image since photoshop cannot either?

This process is mostly just time consuming, so keep trying and it'll get better.

How do you only make it seamless on the sides like a repeating wall texture?

I am saving this video to my "Blender" playlist, super useful, thank you! Turns out Quixel is not that good, gimp + materialize is what we need (well, I need)
