Why Doesn't Cad Bane Have a Nose? Why Doesn't Cad Bane Have a Nose? The bounty hunter Cad Bane, is a native of the world of Duro, and his sense of smell was through glands just beneath his red eyes. The world of Duro was technological advanced, constructing one of the first hyperspace cannons, that allowed trading between Corellia and itself, but this led to a wave of colonisation on other worlds. These worlds could not match the rise in Duros, and as a result they became heavily polluted, and they started to become extinct. The Fefze Beetles were the only other survivors from the extinction, and Duros such as Cad Bane, secreted a foul-smelling oil when they were under stress, as a defence mechanism. But unlike most Duros, Cad Bane had the addition of breathing tubes that were connected to his lungs, which would resist any Force chokes by Jedi, and survive in difficult atmospheres.
