BEST tutorial of all time!!!! As a 1 month beginner, I'm catching unbroken waves consistently now(during my 5th time surfing). Gonna keep practising following this channel's videos!!!

Really great advice. On one mention I was always told to paddle harder by surf instructors if I missed a wave. Glad this video talks about that. Biggest things I learned on my own to catch waves easier.

I stay further back than everyone else waiting on a wave, I paddle earlier when I see a wave coming to get some momentum going before I even decide to go for a wave. Kind of like a plane having a longer runway to take off.

I don't paddle fast and aggressively if I'm going for the wave. I just take longer and harder strokes instead of frantically increasing my arm speed like you see a lot of people do who are too late on a wave and trying to catch it last minute.

Dead on. I've been figuring a lot of this out in the water lately and seeing this video I'm thinking wow, I wish saw this a year ago. Thanks for the upload!

I am very lucky to live in Jeffreys Bay with plenty of good surf spots! This info helps so much to recognise what I am doing wrong and what I am doing right! I am 42 and have been surfing for almost a year now. (Late bloomer I know!) These tips really help me advance and trouble shoot!

I love this channel and great videos keep up the work by the way today was the first day I ever surfed I surfed in cocoa beach using a rented Ron Jon surf shop surfboard and me and my sister caught exactly 10 waves in 2 hours

This is so helpful. Going out without a teacher tomorrow for the first time. Hope to manage to catch some waves on my own. Wish me luck 🤞🏻😂

Great content as usual! I'd recommend renaming the video title to something more catchy so it gets more views.
Maybe "How to Catch Unbroken Waves (The Comprehensive Guide for Beginners)" or something like that?

I watched one of your videos on the basics of standing up and was instructed to keep legs flat with toes at the end of the board.
In this video I repeatedly see the guy in the black bodysuit, bending his legs with his feet up in the air, and then putting his feet down quickly and standing up, which one is the proper technique?
