Most of the reviewers on YouTube must be used to upgrading their iPads every year or something, cuz most of them say that this new iPad Pro M4 is not worth the upgrade. I, myself was still using the 1st generation iPad Pro until last week, and found this new iPad Pro to be an absolute must after I bought it.

Sorry. I do enjoy this channel, but you could play this review next to the first one and see zero difference. The title was “two weeks later” but all we got was the same tired discussion of the features. Nothing about how it performed in real-world scenarios, running real-world apps and in real world use-cases. For example, I went to a conference the other day and used just my 11” M4 iPad Pro to to take notes. The battery made it through the day and 1 hour flight home, but the range anxiety kicked in around 2pm and I started to shut the case when I wasn’t writing to conserve power. How about using it on long flights (you can simulate that) if you’re not going overseas. The weight difference does help with holding it while reading. How is it when you connect to difference displays? How is it when you turn ProMotion off to increase battery life. Does that change the writing experience? Does that increase the battery? I could answer all of these, but my point is y’all shouldn’t just create the same video with a different title. Dig deeper and think of what potential users might want to know before buying.

The problem with most of those youtube reviewers is that they don’t have time to work with the tools they test.
In the end, they just mostly consume, not using the deeper apps that can be used with them.

Finally not helpful reviews.
It’s better to check the pro reviews in your domain right away.
Far helpful.

I actually got rid of an M1 iPad Pro 12.9” due to it being just too big & bulky for my needs at the time a little over a year ago. Well wouldn’t you know I walked into an Apple Store & tried out this 11” & immediately was smitten. I was all set to buy a new M2 Air but the screen just seemed off putting to my aging eyes. Zero issues with the tandem OLED screen on this 11” Pro. I instantly was hooked & knew I was leaving there with one. The reduced size & weight for me are just icing on a very sweet cake.

I did however exercise a little common sense going for the base “poor man’s” model with only 256gb of storage & the 9 core CPU. Can’t say I’ve seen any issues with a binned M4 chip or non glare free screen.

Anyone else watching a bunch of reviews to try and justify the purchase but just can’t quite make a decision?

My M2 iPad Pro still plays my games, checks the weather and news, and email really well… 😉

The one thing pushes me more to the M4 is the new camera position

I got the new 11” M4 Pro to replace my Mini 6. The OLED screen makes this iPad just a joy to use if you are coming from an LCD screen. I didn’t buy the Apple keyboard since my need for typing on this unit is very minimal. But if I need to use a keyboard my old Logitech Keys-To-Go is an excellent accessory. I didn’t upgrade my M1 12.9” with the Apple keyboard. The Mini-LED screen on the 12.9” is still an outstanding display.

Good video - thanks I too am waiting for WW…. Curious is it light enough to truly use it for an extended period of time (30 minutes plus) in tablet mode? I had a 12.9 and did not like it but really would like the larger screen for note taking, crating etc.

Wait, is the ESR keyboard better or the Mac magic keyboard better just curious before I buy another keyboard that you push

For the previous gen 11” iPad Pro, it is worth it for the display upgrade. Only the previous gen 12.9” had the Mini-LED display.

I have a 4th gen air 64 GB. The other day I held the 11 inch M4 Pro in hand and it felt so small. The colours too weren't as fantastic as everyone claim. On the other hand the 13 inch model was just wow.

I purchased the 13” M4. Why? The larger display over my 11” Ipad air. (for my old eyes) The keyboard is a joy to use and is similar to laptops. It is easier to navigate the ipad with this new keyboard. I use the ipad for video and photo editing. I am learning Procreate so the new pencil is going to work out well. I’m not sure what future proof means these days. However, this new ipad is perfectly suited for my apps and other personal uses.

I just upgraded from the 2022 and the only thing I don’t like is that it’s not compatible with the Magic Keyboard/Apple Pencil from 2022. You have to buy all new accessories for the M4 which adds another $450 onto your price tag. The only reason I opted to upgrade was because my screen on my last tablet had shattered, so I felt obligated to. Other than that, it runs just the same, does everything else the same, doesn’t really blow my skirt up. Take care of your things.

purchased the ipad pro M4 13”, upgrading from the 2nd gen ipad 11” pro, with the A12z chip. Figured get in now before there’s a run on them for iOS 18 AI capabilities

Went with the new 13" Pro, upgrading from the M1 12.9. Real happy with the upgrade - love the new display and the new Magic Keyboard. Necessary purchase? nah, but glad I did it. Wife got the old 12.9 & MKB, upgrading from her old Air 2 so she's happy, too.

The screen is a huge upgrade since I wanted to use it both indoors and outdoors.
Thinner is better, I wouldn't have wanted a thicker iPad to be a hassle to carry around.
The camera flash upgrade is nice to scan documents with.
That 5G service is awesome and much more useful in some situations than taking a MacBook.
I never imagined liking the Magic Keyboard so much, it's expensive but well worth it.
I'm coming from an iPad Air 2 and this upgrade has made my life way more productive on the go.
