Yooo I am really disturbed by what your pastor said about praying. It comes across as really toxic and unhealthy to insist that the devil wins if you don't pray a certain way. Pray however you're comfortable, even if that's silently, in song, whatever. (If you want to push out of your comfort zone for yourself, by all means do it, but don't do it just because some dude in a position of power over you said so. Your relationship with deity is personal, not his to dictate.)
