How to Buy the Perfect Valentine's Day Gift

Inside Edition's Les Trent went to Bloomingdale’s in New York with shopping expert Trae Bodge for tips on finding the perfect Valentine's Day gift for your significant other. Lingerie can be a great gift but be warned — you do not want to suggest she's out of shape by giving her shapewear. Clothes can be tricky so unless you know her size, you do not want to buy them. Also, Bodge says giving appliances it's not very romantic.

I never had a valentine. What I do is make chocolate covered oreos, or pretzels, even s'more's!

I would share it with my family or my neighbor.

I do the Japanese candy giving because its fun to make your own. I use give when I was younger to those who didn't have valentine's.

I baked choc chip cookies and heart waffle style cookies, put them in a 1L Kmart jar then wrapped it in ribbons. Additionally, I emptied out a drawer in my bedside table and filled it with things my partner needs when they sleep over e.g. phone charger, oversized tshirt to sleep in, toiletries and spare underwear 🤷‍♀️ I think spending little money and instead leaning into thoughtful gestures is a great alternative to the overly commercial . Ask their favorite color and get them a few flowers, snacks, candies, and card in that color and then put it all together in a box with wrapping tissue the same color too. No need to go all out, the little things matter too

tbh any day can be valentines day, you dont need a specific day to fall in love plus it should be about personality instead of giving. But there is also nothing wrong with giving somebody a gift, its just a tradition thing i guess

I don't celebrate Valentine's Day anymore my dad died the day before
