Magic Four Patch Quilt Tutorial

Katrina's first-ever charm pack quilt! We all know pre-cuts are super versatile when it comes to quilting but how many of us have a pack or two stashed away waiting for the perfect pattern to use them with... well the Magic Four Patch is not only great fun to quilt but really shows off the best of any pre-cut range and ends up looking like a technical masterpiece!

My squares are pinked so when I sew the blocks together they're not quite lining up. Is it maybe because I'm not sewing in the exact same 1/4 each time, I think the pinking is throwing me off a bit?? ...aarg frustrating 😮

I made up a test block set using 2.5 inch squares and cut 1 inch out from the center seam to mix it up. The result was very nice. The print fabrics I used made the final product look very busy, so solids only for my next test. Thank you for sharing your tutorial and tips.

Very pretty. I like all the options. In America we call them a Disappearing 4 Patch instead of a Magic 4 Patch. This can also be done with 9 patches. It looks so complicated but is so simple. I love it.
