Honesrly its not far fetched. Tanjuro and Yoriichi are so damn similar in both personality and appearance. But i feel like the reason Tanjuro wasn't as strong as Yoriichi is because in his new life, he's got the family he always wished for and so he didn't want to ruin it by killing demons and such. So in other words, I think Tanjuro is Yoriichi's reincarnation. And if he was never ill, and saw Muzan again, I bet you so much damn money that he'd solo him. Like Tanjuro without the illness would probably be close to Yoriichi's power, and may be equal if Tanjuro is the reincarnation of Yoriichi, meaning he has all his past life's experience, meaning he may be stronger as Tanjuro then he ever was as Yoriichi, since remember, an old Yoriichi won against the Upper Moon One, which was damn crazy. Now imagine that old mind into a new strong body, with another 20+ years of experience, that'd mean he could have easily been stronger then his past life as Yoriichi, and could have soloed Muzan.

Like the only reason he never got to was because he was living his dream by having a family. But again if he was never ill, and Muzan came to his house with him all healthy....man Muzan ain't seeing the next night. 💀
