Does your apartment SMELL like cat litter?

Well, we finally found out why so many cat people's apartments have that dreaded "cat" smell... Spoiler alert: it's not the cat's fault. Sorry to break the hard news, but humans are most often the reason for a stinky litter box because they're simply not cleaning it often enough. It's super important to clean your cats litter box daily to avoid unwanted odors. Not only that, but cats are very clean creatures, so they would much more enjoy doing their business in a clean litter box rather than one that's filled with stinky waste. If you're letting the state of the litter box worsen day after day, your home will inevitably start to smell and your cat might become unhappy. Eliminate kitty waste → eliminates kitty smell → keep kitty happy.

Yep, never blame the cat. It's you who is supposed to clean it up. I do it twice a day, every day and my house doesn't smell at all.

I scoop my litter boxes every day, multiple times a day. The second my two cats go to take a piss. It immediately stinks up the whole house.

I clean the litter box in the morning, my kids do it after school, and I do it after dinner. I also do it as soon as they use it if I'm home. It still smells. I'm constantly trying to get rid of the stink. I'm going to try the training method of getting them to use the toilette.

Try to mix the cat litter with salt. It really helps with the smell.

I clean my litterbox twice per day.
My problem is: I use the normal absorbing litter, use a special shovel to remove cat's pee and poop but after 2 days the smell is still so strong, I have to replace the litter completely. That cat litter is very expensive where I live. Any tips how to reduce the smell and that I dont have to replace 5 kilos of cat litter every 2 days?

There’s really no perfect litter. I clean the litter boxes everyday. I have 2 adult cats and have 3 large litter boxes. I love the clumping of this litter and it’s very easy to clean. My only issue is it can’t contain the smell. I find myself dumping the entire litter every 2 weeks and it has been very expensive. The one brand that is very good at hiding the smell is pretty litter clumping yes they have a clumping version but you have to call them to order this. Now my issue with this is it becomes cement hard and extremely hard to remove and this tracks. I experimented and mixed 50/50 of there 2 litters and it works. I just wish that tuft and paw can come up with better odor controlling litter.

Not anyone's fault tho I think. He just scratches the sides of the litterbox instead (and no it's not too small) 😭 I mean he isn't the smartest cat but I love him 😭❤️
Idk if his mom being a stray while pregnant with him and his siblings have something to do with it? 😭

When he hasn't pooped it doesn't smell bd there tho and all my other cats cover their poop fbfndndnnd

Cats pee on fresh linin had cats do it as a kid and the cat box was clean
