I thought I was the only one who washed my walls!!! I wash my ceilings once or twice a year with bleach as well. Makes a HUGE difference. Nice fresh clean smell after!

If you own your house and can afford it.... rip out the carpet and place tile or hard surface. Carpet is nasty. It's like walking on a blanket and not being able to REALLY clean it.

Well I also want to say this. Many individuals get those carpet cleaners. Yeah I used to be one of those until I actually learned about steam. Wow. Game changer. And I mean a proper professional steamer. Night and day. An accident becomes no more. I am completely and utterly shocked. Of course using the sucking machine and doing your little thing is going to help But it's not going to completely clean it. Individuals with cats and dogs, and you are using just a carpet cleaner. Change your game. Get a professional steamer. You can have a professional steamer for the cost of you doing your home. You don't want to do it. Buy it have it and then have whoever cleaned your home use it. You'll never have a kitty or doggy bad smell again..

There is an area, we replaced the carpet. Immediately the dogs went to the same area. I'm so grateful for a fella that spent 3 hours working on my living room. And taught me, about steam. Oh my gosh. I bought the same steaming set he had. They now don't even pay mind to that area. It's like it was never there. Yes I gave him a call, and let him know. He was magic man. He changed my life in the game of cleaning carpets.. as well his steam machine can be used in vehicles. This is the type of machine that throws out hot steam not wet steam. Huge difference. If you have wooden floors very important.
And or want to detail your car, the type of detail that is worth $500 for an hour of cleaning. You want grease and gunk to go bye-bye. If you have a very big mess to clean. Absolutely, use both. Carpet cleaner and, steamer. Night and day just night and day.

When my boyfriend moved in with me he brought a beagle. Instantly everything began to stink! Our clothes, the couch, blankets and pillows, the vacuum. It didnt help to wash the textiles and the vacuum bag had to be changed every day basically or it just made the stench worse. I hade lived with dogs before but nothing prepared me for that. Basically dont get a beagle because apart from the stench they are also destructive, loud, clingy and needy as hell and leavs needles of hair in any kind of fabric u own. Also the can never be off leash.

I ended up throwing out my whole vacuum after volunteering to clean a friend's house that she moved out of. Their 2 dogs had a pungent smell 😂

moving into a house that had a dog in it previously was horrid. the cleaners did a okay job but to me the smell has never ever gone away and I clean quite often specifically to get the smell out. very happy I have cats. probably would never go back to having dogs tbh

The exhaust on my vacuum, I taped a bounce dryer sheet to it. Works awesome.

I literally take those fan vent covers off, take them outside and hose them off. Super quick, super easy. The hardest part is getting a ladder to take them off the cieling.

I can remember moving into a housing corp, house here in Christchurch NZ, when I was pregnant with my first son!! I had to vacuum every wall in the house completely, because of the layer of dust or maybe mould, not something I want to do in your 8/9th month

If you don't have a carpet cleaner, you can always sprinkle baking soda on the carpets depending on smell leave it for a few days then vacuum as normal. I moved into a house that wreaked of dog but lucky for me I had a carpet cleaner.
