To think that all of the Beatle's music was original back in the '60s is mind-boggling. What was it that moved them from 50's pop music into timeless masterpieces?

It's a testament to their professionalism that they wouldn't settle for anything than utter perfection in redoing the Beatles catalog. I don't even think the Beatles would have been able to recreate their albums any better!

One of Lennon's finest, finest, finest moments. Done so very nicely by The Analogues, with special attention paid not only to the vocals, but to the instrumentation, from the choice of notes and chord voicings, to the effects. The Les Paul sounds insanely beautiful when the verse lyrics begin. The Leslie is perhaps the most unearthly and gorgeous-sounding effect ever used on a guitar. Where would songs like this, "Do You Feel Like We Do, " "No Matter What, " and every single thing recorded by Mike Allsup of Three Dog Night, be without the Leslie? It's moving air, and though many have come close, (my DLS Roto-Sim) I doubt there will ever be a pedal that can truly replicate that sound, complete with the motion of music in the air, the dirt of analog, and that beautiful resonance.
