First Drive Preview! The V8-powered 2021 Lexus LC500 Convertible!

Looking for a good look at Lexus’ flagship convertible? I’ve driven it. For now, Lexus isn’t allowing any driving impressing but that doesn’t mean I can’t show you the pretty pictures I took today. Hear the 471 horsepower naturally aspirated 5-liter V8 (no artificial engine noise needed) that’s hooked up to a 10-speed transmission. Watch the 4-layer soft top do it’s thing while traveling at up to 31 MPH. The embargo lifts in July and I’ll have plenty to say then. For now, enjoy the sights and sounds of the LC droptop in Flair Yellow.

This car makes a lot of sense as a convertible. I just drove up the east coast and saw only one LC. The sheetmetal is really impressive in person.... not sure what it was but seemed to stand out more on the road than I thought it would

This car to me seems like a very modern interpretation of the old Jaguar XJS. Huge car, tiny passenger space and very elegant.
