I've caught a lot a gophers out here in Nevada and Arizona but I have never seen a gopher THAT BIG. The ones out here in the southwest are maybe 3/4 the size of that one. Good work. Great vid. Thanks.

So I've been trapping pocket gopher's sense the late 1960's, couple of things I do different instead of digging for the entrance hole we use a 5/16 to 3/8 rod with a 90 degree bend for a handle, and just poke around the mount quickly to find the tunnel, and dig it out quickly with a small hand garden shovel. The best traps I've found for the highest success rate are Lansboro GT catch 100-150 ever year and I've pretty much tried every type of leg hold death trap ever made the last 50 years, the GTs 100s flat out catch every other type trap I've ever used.

I've trapped and killed 46 gophers in the past year . . . I've never seen one as big as the gopherzilla you caught. I used to use a trap similar to the one you are using but now that we have a lawn and I don't want to make a mess bigger than the gophers, I switched to the GopherHawk trap and it works well.

I enjoyed your video very much. Do you think the trap you are using would also work on prairie dogs? I have a lot of prairie dogs, and pocket gophers. Also where would I find the type of trap you are using? Thanks
