My favorite art tip is “push through the ugliness of the drawing, don’t stop just because it looks ugly at the beginning”. Best advice I’ve ever received

A tip that really brought some life into my paintings is:
The Contrast Colour.
It basically means that you choose one thing that is suppossed to stand out.
For example:
Your Charakter has a warm skintone, soft brown hair and has generally very warm colours.
And then you give them piercing cold blue eyes.

-- MY ART TIP-- : Once you decide where the light source is and you want to shade your object don't just shade the object with different shades of the same colour.Instead take note of the colour of the light, if the light is yellow for instance, highlight the rim where light touches the object with a sharp yellow and then fade it to orange and then to the original colour. It's a very basic tip but starting out I never really took notice of it.This has helped me a lot with creating a more realistic atmosphere in my paintings :)

"I'll be right back with the final painting"

>Perfect portrait appears

I'm happy you put "7 hours" because I always feel like a bad artist for taking that long...

“Good artists copy, great artists steal.”

- Picasso.

No that doesn’t mean claiming someone else’s art as your own. Being an artist means learning from those who came before you. Very few things in the art world is original now. Artists are always pulling inspiration from each other, just like how Ross has a mood board! Lot’s of artists we like used other artists’ techniques while they were learning. But do we just use it once and not use it again (borrowing) or do we keep at it (steal)? Hope this makes sense.

My favourite art tip is: never give up even when you're struggling. It's my favourite because there was a time I wanted to stop drawing because I haven't been doing any progress but then I watched video that helped me realize that progress isn't straight line up... instead it's a line that goes up then it stops and after some time of studying and practicing it goes again up. Then it repeats and repeats and repeats...

My art tips is: when drawing, never rush to the end result(like details for example), and take your time! Also always use reference! Were not built to always know what things look like! But when using reference, don't just copy what you see, but understand the concepts and material, but If you're struggling on the material, then study it... really get to know the subject. Trust me, knowing the parts of the human anatomy than just drawing shapes of it, really help "sculpt" out your drawings of human anatomy!

My favorite tip: Becoming the character you're making. I find this to really improve character design because it makes you think deeper about what that character's personality would be, and thus, what they look like. The clothes and pose come with personality which you can channel better if you become the character in your head.

The tip that change everything was: Draw what you actually see, not what you think you are seing.

My favorite art tip is to make sure you're drawing in 3D. I always used to try to cut corners in my art and find shortcuts to mimic a three-dimensional look, and my art always turned out pretty flat looking. But now that I've been making an effort to actually think in three dimensions, My anatomy, faces, and poses have drastically improved.

Art tip: Not so much a tip, but more of a reassurance. And the tip is: Never stop making art, because you can only improve

My favorite tip is ADDING HIGHLIGHTS - I always can't wait to do that! I understand that when i started to use white fineliner to make highlights on my promarker works. It really help them to look very cool!

The most important thing I learned in art school is to HAVE FUN with what you make an not be a bot respecting all the directives: this way I got more creative and learned faster because there was nothing holding me back (since I had so much fun!)
