Xiangli Yao is the King of DPS

The title of Best DPS shouldn't be awarded based off raw damage alone. You have to factor in everything else they bring to the table, and Xiangli Yao brings the most out of any DPS in the game.

Xiangli being the best DPS is entirely my opinion, but I can't overlook how many advantages he brings over other characters.

Even if his raw damage is less than Jinhsi's, he has grouping, time-stop (sort of), and absurd quickswap windows that let him work in almost every team imaginable.

To top it all off, he's unbelievably powerful in the new Co-Op hologram boss mode, probably the best DPS you can use.

To me, he is, without a doubt, the most valuable character on the roster.

Xiangli Yao is literally the only reason I was able to get all the astrite from the new stage in tower of adversity. The fact that I got him for free is insane!

Literally, Xiangli Yao already solves one of the biggest problem of casuals which is Skill Issue. Me personally couldn't parry & dodge perfectly, but Xiangli yao's time stop or time-slow down mechanics makes the battle so much easier giving me windows to pour all my DPS attacks or evade the nasty bosses and hard difficulty contents.

Imagine Kuro Games giving One of the strongest character in the game for FREE. it would cost you 160 pulls just to get a limited character guaranteed due to bad luck and that would cost you 25, 000+ Astrites which is equivalent to $300.

Imagine giving their players $300 or 160 pulls worth in that patch and suffering low revenue rate on september because aside from giving their players 160 pulls worth in this FILLER PATCH, the additional 100+ pulls more from explorations and events which are all saved up f2p astrites can now be used for shorekeeper or next characters to come.

Man this guy can go solo and you wouldn't feel at a disadvantage cause he has everything...high damage scaling, long liberation time, uses gauntlets (easiest to parry attacks) high skill damage, best fit for electro element, works with most supports if not all, slows down time, easy swap cancels....the list is endless

Ive been relentlessly farming 1 cost thunder echos for TWO percent more crit for 70% and ONE percent more crit damage for 300% and its driving me insane.

Quickswapping between him, Calculator, and Yinlin is some of the most fun I've had in the game. They synergize surprisingly well since Yao's liberation lasts so long and the comp still dishes out tons of damage.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Jinhsi’s damage is quite low in the co-op mode because there’s not a lot of coordinated attack to stack up her incandescence, so she’s not even the best DPS there. Best DPS there imo is Changli (maybe because I dont have XLY’s prf)

I already had a really insane Lingering Tunes set built, so when I pulled XY's weapon (even accidentally getting R2), it just broke him. I haven't even finished maxing his skills yet and he can break 200k damage at S0.

For the new one time lvl 100 towers, I used him with Jianxin and Yinlin and it was by far the easiest of the 3 towers, keeping the little mobs near the big ones with CC and AoEs, and basically freezing Scar in place.

It's not common for DPS characters to be considered "valuable" for your account in gacha games because of.. well, powercreep. But there is more to wuwa's combat and team building which makes that possible. I'm really excited to see more characters and how they handle them.
