The size of your saw doesn't limit the size of your project. In this video, I show you how to cut a 32" script word on my 20" DeWALT scroll saw with straight cutting blades.

What you need to #DIY:

Scroll Saw ( I use the DeWALT DW788 20" Saw)
Drill
#5 MGT Blades
Painters Tape
Printed Design (see how to print large format designs video)
Spray Adhesive
1/2" Birch Plywood (approx 12" tall and 34" wide - cut to size of your word)
Stretchy Arms (Just kidding, but they do help!)

*This is my second WEN tool and they are both great **MyBest.Tools** I needed to do some trim work around the house and needed a scroll saw for the intricate work. No complaints so far.*

Very inspiring! I am 74 and still learning every day. This reminds me of my Mothers favorite saying "Where there is a will, there is a way!" Thank you for inspiring us.

thank you so much for being so thorough. You did a fantastic job on learning to cut large signs. I always started my cut on the outside and when you showed to use a pilot hole instead it made so much sense. Loved your video. Thanks!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I just got a scroll saw as a gift and was wanting to do a sign such as this for an upcoming party. 😊

Love your video, thank you for this. I probably would never have attempted to cut a large sign such as yours. Now I'm enlightened.

Excellent video. Applying tape to the already cut side is a complete game changer! Best tip ever! Love your accent too, by the way.

Awesome job!.... Some suggestions I would recommend are using your shop with a cyclone for dust collection and lay a small scrap rug under your scroll saw to minimize vibration

1:26 explaining this is a gold and needs to be treasured because I was thinking about doing it while watching your design.

I learn all this in 1980, 8th grade wood working class! You make it sound so difficult, it's not! You can even use a jigsaw and clean it up with sand paper. Done!

Great video! Have you ever tried spiral blades? You don't have to worry about turning the piece with those. I love watching People's projects on the scroll saw.

Thank you for this amazing video. I did a piece last night with 1/4" and got about 75% done and realized just how unstable the piece was. Simple tape on the back would have done wonders for me. Also, I made the mistake of not putting down tape before I glued the paper on. I was able to peel and sand it back luckily. Doing it all on a vintage Delta 24"

Great video...For the younger viewers out there, don't underestimate the value of proper PPE. You can thank me when you're older and don't have respiratory issues related to wood dust...First-hand avoidable misery
