I’m close to 64 now, and one if my sons passed away almost 4 months ago. It was a blow which shook my world, but one of the ways that I have helped myself stay upright and function day to day is that I get up, fix my hair, which is natural and has a lot of gray in it, and apply makeup. I use much of the advice you have given already to achieve a look I like for me. Not too much, not to little, looking my best for my age, I hope.

I hope the beauty trends lean towards aging with grace and not chasing unattainable youth. As women we need to realize we actually look older when we mess with our faces and with some keep coloring our hair. I see the changes in the beauty industry! I see women wanting to be natural and stop hurting their bodies to live up to a standard that says we are not enough or not beautiful because we have a wrinkle.

Hi Nikol, Im 65 and for the longest time never really took care of my skin. I took it for granted. Now I have a routine morning and night for it. I also derma plane, I find it makes a huge difference getting rid of that pesky Peach fuzz. My skin has improved alot. You inspire us on here and I am so grateful to your videos. As a young woman my mother used to wear foundation (in a pan stick), eye liner, mascara, & a bright lipstick 💄. I have no idea what cleanser she used, or moisturizer I just knew everything was simple and classic. This is why I appreciate your modern version of makeup application & skincare. Most of my friends don’t do makeup unless they are going out at night and I cannot do it if I don’t get up and do my makeup and get dressed every day even if I’m not leaving the house I will get in a slump and start living in pajamas and let my skin go to heck. Some of them tell me it’s a waste of time but I need it.
