The most insane finish ever | Firouzja vs Carlsen | Global Chess League 2024

Games between Alireza Firouzja and Magnus Carlsen are very interesting and this one was no different. It went right down to the wire with pieces flying, seconds ticking down and in the end it was the clock which decided who would win the game. It was the final round of the group stages of the Tech Mahindra Global Chess League. However, because the final spot was at stake, it was like the semi-finals of the event.

this new time control format makes Alireza look so invincible! Not even the goat Magnus can handle the pressure. Wish we had more tournaments with this time format as it really keeps the time pressure on everyone and flagging and flying pieces are always fun to watch OTB and of course let's not forget Sagar's amazing commentary!

alireza is beast, if you observe this game carefully, in less time, he played much much better than carlsen. Magnus actually lost his advantage even though he was ahead of tym. Amazing Alireza. Treat to watch
