Beyonce Gets Zero CMA Nominations for 'Cowboy Carter'

Reaction is pouring in after Beyonce was snubbed by the Country Music Awards despite her wildly popular country album, "Cowboy Carter." The single, "Texas Hold 'Em," was No.1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for two straight weeks and became a pop culture phenomenon. In the past, Beyonce said that "Cowboy Carter" was ���born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed."

The song did not appeal to country music lovers. It sounded more like a pop song to me that was just talking about “country” things. The fan base for this song was the same fan base for all her other songs. Not everything is about race geez 🙄

Shaboozey got a nomination for his song "Another Bar Song (Tipsy)." His song is actual country. "Cowboy Carter" is R&B with a cowboy theme.

"Country" is about the common man's struggles and finding a way to overcome them either through shared bonds or becoming more depressed and bitter.
