Project Farm actually did this test and if I remember correctly, Milwaukee was at the top.
I use Milwaukee bits every day and I never had any issues.

Flex bits are indestructible. Their drill bits are some of my favorites too. One bit for concrete, pvs, wood, metal, they take a beating

“Dewalt is very good”. I went through 5 of those same exact Dewalt bits in T25 just doing one small deck. Bought the Makita set and it’s way better

Same, Bosch all day for bits and blades 🤙🏻

I like that something Bosch came out on the first place in your list, for the impact they are great.

I have used the same Makita Impact X phillips 2 and t25 for over 2 years now. Absolutely amazing. We tried the makita xps bits and the first one snapped on us; went back to impact x. I am curious about bosch, metabo, flex, and wiha bits, but I can’t find the motivation to put down my impact x bits. Bought them in bulk and we are loaded for years to come.

That’s interesting. I have some Bosch bits that I never tried using before and always opted for the Makita and Milwaukee bits. For me, the Makita #2 Phillips bits don’t fit very snug and the Milwaukee will shatter under load on occasion. I’ve actually had better luck with the Bauer bits from Harbor Freight. But you piqued my interest and I think I’ll give the Bosch #2 bits a try in the near future.

Absolutely correct in your assessments. Listened to the hype when I bought my first real hammer drill and bout a shit ton of Milwaukee bits on sale, truly regret wasting that money. Bosch and dewalt are my go for most everything now.

I have Milwaukee and they do suck😂

I wish Batteries were universal cuz that’s how they really get you.

i just wish they had a larger collection of bits, i like the Bosch because of the red clips they come in, but they only have 4 clip varieties... i need like double that

I’m very happy with Bosch mason drill bits. Haven’t had one break on me or fail to make a hole. I’ll give their drivers a try

Makita XPS. Can't go wrong. Milwaukee snap like it's their job description. Shafts are too thin in the "torsion" zone. Or the flutes of the Philips socket snap or chip off turning a P2 into a P1 Their socket adapters are crap. Get husky or DeWalt. DeWalt maxfit are fantastic too. Love their 2.5 in length P2 and torx. The Ridgid ones are nice but not meant for impacts. Better suited in a drill.

Hyper Tough is pretty good too. I've bought Impact bits from nearly 3 Years ago, & they still work like new.

Bosch bits have been the best for everyday use and have had the least broken or rounded bits with Bosch and that is cause all my tools are milwalkeee

I love Whia. Had them for over 9 years and only broke the 3 mm and 2 mm hex bits after 3 years of abuse with high torque 20 volt drill at full throttle.

I don’t have a bit brand preference; however, I have the Milwaukee bit holder case thing, and it has survived years and years, still feels solid and is bright red so I haven’t lost it yet. The contents are a mix of the original Milwaukee bits that are rarely used, along with a plethora of DeWalt bits.

For my impact I use Bosch or Vega, for my drywall gun I use Diablo or Flex bits.

Are they all interchangeable. In other words is it ok to grab a Milwaukee drill from the shop but buy De Walt bits instead..?

finish carpenter business owner here, I run Dewalt and Diablo bits. I’ve used Bosch, they’re great too. I love DeWalt for the cases and the organization, and I like that Diablo sells a tub of 100 1” Phillips #2’s, because taking the time to go buy the most common bits even once a month is just something I don’t need to add to my schedule. My dewalt T25’s seem to last forever
